Vision and Mission

Following two NDHU self-positioning directions, ‘excellent teaching’ and ‘characteristics research’, the department develops further strategies to advance vision-building. By assisting students’ achievement of career planning, and re-framing student-oriented course teaching design, the department concerns cross-sector cooperation and connections for international academic trends. Encouraging full-time faculty members’ research capabilities proves useful as the department thinks further about East Taiwan’s researches.
To meet with requirements for high-quality research capabilities and deepen international academic exchange, the department hosts academic conferences. One of the international conferences is as follows: 2022 Annual Meeting of the CAPS and the International Conference on “The Public Administration, International Relationships, and Diversification Strategy in the Global De-coupling Era”. Some faculty members of the department also join the Ph.D. Program in Asia-Pacific Regional Studies, which is affiliated with NDHU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
